Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 has divided opinion, though not necessarily in the ways its unusual cult-classic predecessor might have suggested. PC Gamer online editor Fraser Brown described it in his review as "good, sometimes even great," but also "a sequel in name only" that "never really enthusiastically embraces being an RPG." Developer The Chinese Room has now outlined its plans for fixes and new features in a newly published roadmap post.

Initial fixes and upcoming graphics options
The patch released alongside the roadmap starts with practical improvements: saving on exit, a crash fix and roughly two dozen other bug fixes. It also brings general improvements to saving and stability.
The next major patch is set to introduce an FOV slider, a motion blur toggle and improved progress saving. These are useful additions, but arguably features that should have been available at launch rather than serving as highlights of a major update.
Holiday additions and plans for 2026
The winter update will give Phyre new holiday-themed cosmetics. It will also introduce a custom difficulty mode, allowing players to adjust starting health and enemy awareness and choose to play only Phyre quests or only Fabien quests.
Beyond winter, the roadmap lists a Valentine's Day update and two DLCs scheduled for the latter part of 2026, although details remain limited. The full announcement on Paradox's website says more information will be shared closer to each patch.
